Nine years is a lot, especially when you’re 27. It’s hard to believe that the beginning of this was at the end of high school.
The first year after you start your own business, you are like a real freshman – a bit disoriented and very curious of the new world that unfolds before you. The chaotic beginning of this “business” was laid by my frantic desire to create with the same two hands I’m writing with now. In 2015, however, One could hardly call it a business. I was twisting several pieces of wire into earrings, taking pictures of them and posting them quite randomly on Facebook.
And so my journey began…
In 9 years I learned some very important things. I began to subdue different materials, overcame my fear of the unknown, got a real camera, a scary-looking burner and solder. I learned that the most valuable things that this job gives me are the smiles on my client’s faces and the acquaintances with creative, artistic, talented peopleIt only took a few people to believe in me for me to believe in myself..

It only took a few people to believe in me for me to believe in myself.
I learned that you don’t have to work all your life for something to immerse yourself in it with all your heart and soul.
I haven’t studied photography, design or jewelry – one day I just grabbed my father’s old pliers and that was it. It only took a few people to believe in what I had done and had to offer, for me to believe in myself even more and persevere.
I learned to fight for my personal goals, because it turns out that there’s nothing so impossible you can’t overcome by putting your mind and hands to it. It’s challenging to have your own business and having to fight the windmills of doubt, but the satisfaction at the end of the day is worth it.
I learned that no matter how much I thought I could do anything in the face of adversity, none of this would have been possible if it weren’t for my family, friends and you – the people that keep me going! Without your support over the years, I wouldn’t be here, I’d be doing something else that wouldn’t give me the joys of working with people the way I do now. I cherish every kind word, every interaction that enriched my life and all the trust you have given me.
Nimeria Shop’s nine. WOW! I feel like a real graduate.
I wish for many more happy Nimeria girls. I thank you with all my heart.
